22 Sep: No Misunderstanding with God
We know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him. Romans 8:28

Alexa, Siri, and the other voice assistants in our homes don’t always catch what we mean. A six-year-old once mentioned cookies and a dollhouse to the family’s new device, and her mom later got an email confirming an order for seven pounds of cookies and a $170 dollhouse. In London a talking parrot, whose owner had never shopped online, somehow ordered a package of golden gift boxes. Someone simply asked to “turn on the living room lights,” and the device answered, “There is no pudding room.”
God never has that problem when we talk with Him. He isn’t confused. He knows our hearts better than we do. The Spirit searches those hearts and understands God’s will perfectly. Paul reminded the churches in Rome that God works all things together for the good of those who love Him, shaping us to become more like His Son (Romans 8:28–29). Even in our weakness, when we don’t know what to ask for or how to grow, the Spirit intercedes for us according to God’s will (verses 26–27).
If you’re struggling to find the words, just speak from the heart. The Spirit understands, and God will accomplish His purpose.
