Day 1
Scripture: Isaiah 58:11
A Well-Watered Soul
Do you need the Lord to comfort you right now? No matter what you’re going through, we invite you to pray through this easy, ten-day prayer guide. As you pray, the God of all comfort will encourage your heart and fill you with strength from above.
Today, we are asking the Lord to pour His refreshing waters of grace into the depths of your soul.
After reading Isaiah 58:11, pray this:
- Confess to the Lord that your mind, will, and emotions need restoring.
- Confess to Him that He is your River of Living Water—your Water of Life—and that you are coming to Him as the only One who can help you.
- Yield your mind, will, and emotions to the Lord verbally. Tell Him that you andyour mind, will, and emotions all belong to Him.
- Ask the Lord to heal and restore your soul.
- Ask the Lord to water your dry and weary soul; to let His healing rain soak into the dry, parched earth of your mind, will, and emotions, making you well-watered again.
- Ask Him to bubble up inside of you with His river of life; that out of your belly would flow rivers of living water.
- Thank Him for hearing and answering all of the above.
As a reminder, always pray as the Lord Himself leads you.
The Holy Spirit is your Intercessor (Romans 8:26-27), and He will help you pray perfectly. So use your own words; ask the Lord to help you pray; and simply receive from Him as He helps you pray according to God’s perfect will!
Day 2
Scripture: Isaiah 51:1
Remember Your DNA
Do you need to remind yourself of who you are in Christ? If so, cast the cares of this world aside and remember who He made you to be, according to His Word. After reading Isaiah 51:1, pray this:
- Ask the Lord to help you remember your spiritual DNA—to remember the fullness and uniqueness of who He made you to be.
- Ask Him to help you remember and recognize the things that refresh you.
- Ask Him to help you remember and recognize what makes you feel most alive.
- Pray that He would help you remember old dreams that you used to dream—dreams that are from Him that you have forgotten to keep alive.
- Ask the Lord to bring every old dream back to life that He desires to resurrect.
- Ask Him to help you make room in your schedule once again for the things that are uniquely you.
As you pray, look to the rock from which you were hewn.
Focus your gaze on Jesus, the Rock of Ages—and remember who God made you to be, as well as what He created you to do on this earth. Most of all, however, remember that your true identity is found in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ—and that You are chosen and beloved in His sight.
Day 3
Scriptures: Nehemiah 8:10, Psalms 16:11, Matthew 28:20
The Joy of the Lord
How can you cultivate the joy of the Lord in your life, despite the challenges life brings? What steps can you take to deepen your relationship with God, allowing His joy to guide your daily decisions?
After reading Nehemiah 8:10, pray about these things as follows:
- First, praise the Lord for being your Comforter, your Provider, your Joy, and your refreshment.
- Praise Him for being an abundant, indulgent, good, gracious, kind, and generous Heavenly Father who loves to shower you with good things and fill your life with joy and celebration.
- Thank Him for His joy, and ask Him to fill you up once again with that joy.
- Thank Him for giving you strength today, for the joy of the Lord is your strength.
- Ask the Father to help you fix your mind on His presence every day, for in the presence of God is fullness of joy. (See Psalm 16:11.)
- Ask Him to help you abide in Jesus.
- Thank Him that He is with you always, even to the end of the world. He will never leave you nor forsake you! (See Matthew 28:20.)
- Invite God’s Holy Spirit to bear more of His fruit in your life than ever before, especially the fruit of joy.
Friend, the joy of the Lord is your strength.
May you be filled with our Father’s own joy today as you delight in your relationship with Jesus.
Day 4
Scriptures: Proverbs 3:21-24, Psalms 127:1-2
Praying for Sleep
If you’re going through a difficult time and are unable to sleep, that lack of sleep only makes things worse. However, the Lord will help you get a good night’s rest if you will ask Him to do so!
After reading today’s key Scriptures, pray as follows:
- Confess to the Lord how much you need His help to sleep.
- Repeat God’s promise back to Him: that “you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet” when you have wisdom and discretion.
- Then, ask the Lord for sound wisdom and discretion.
- Confess your faith to the Lord that He will give you wisdom when you ask Him for it. (See James 1:5-8.) And according to Proverbs 3:21-24, He will also give you sweet sleep, along with His wisdom.
- Ask the Lord to show you any changes He needs you to make in your sleep habits. (Don’t be surprised if He puts it in your heart to go to bed much earlier than you expect, or to stop looking at TV and electronic devices before you go to bed!)
- Ask the Lord to help you obey whatever He has shown you He wants you to do in regards to your sleep habits.
- Ask Him to help you love righteousness and hate lawlessness, and to keep you from sinning against Him, so that you will obey Him every day—even in the matter of your sleep habits!
- Ask Him to help you eliminate practical things that are proven to keep a person from sleeping.
- Ask Him to help you go to sleep quickly as soon as you lie down, and to sleep soundly all night long.
- Pray that He will speak to you during the night seasons.
- Ask Him to help you remember and understand whatever He says to you in the night seasons.
- Ask Him to help you feel great when you wake up in the morning.
- Ask Him to help you wake up in the morning feeling alert and excited about your day.
Even in the midst of chaos, Jesus will give you rest.
If you will ask Him to help you sleep, He will help you—and He will show you what to do to partner with Him in your sleeping habits. With a good night’s sleep under your belt, you will be much better able to face whatever is happening in your life on a daily basis.

- Thank Him for enduring the pain of rejection on your behalf as well.
- Confess to Him any hurt in your heart that comes from being rejected.
- Confess your faith that He bore all your sorrows and griefs, so that you could be comforted.

- Speak out loud in prayer that you give Jesus your sorrows, pains, griefs, and rejection.
- Speak out loud to Him that you receive His comfort, His life, His healing, and His sound mind and emotions today. After all, you have the mind of Christ—and His Holy Spirit, our Comforter, dwells in you!
- Thank Jesus for bearing your troubles, griefs, and sorrows all the way to the cross.
- Thank Him for the resurrection life He purchased for you with His precious blood.
- Ask Him to fill you with His Spirit, His power, and His resurrection life anew and afresh today.
No matter what you’re going through, Jesus purchased comfort for you with His own blood.
His blood paved the way for God’s own Spirit to dwell within you and comfort you. May you find comfort and strength in the Lord today as you navigate the journey of healing from grief and sorrow.

If so, after reading today’s key Scripture passages, pray this:
- Ask our Heavenly Father to make you hungrier and thirstier for Jesus than you’ve ever been.
- Tell Jesus that you’re coming to Him to drink. Then, stop for a while and receive. Focus your thoughts on Jesus and let Him minister to you.
- Ask the Father to strengthen your faith and help you believe in Jesus more than you ever have before.
- Ask Father God to make you hungrier for the on-time, right-now Word of God in every situation.
- Pray for eyes to see God and ears to hear God, as faith comes by hearing and hearing by the Word of God.
- Ask Father God and Jesus to baptize you anew and afresh with His Holy Spirit and fire.
- Pray that God the Holy Spirit would flow out of your belly like rivers of living water.
We can do nothing without Jesus. We even need His help to be hungry and thirsty for Him!
However, if you will pray to hunger and thirst for Jesus, who is Righteousness Incarnate, you will be filled. He will hear and answer your prayer as you continue to pursue Him with all your heart. Therefore, give Him your all; continue to worship Him and spirit and in truth today!

Tangible Grace
Do you want the tangible grace of God to be evident in your life? How can you pray to feel His grace over your daily life and daily walk with God?
After reading today’s key Scriptures, pray this:
- Ask the Lord to manifest His grace to you and on your behalf.
- Ask Him to make His grace tangible and noticeable in your life!
- Confess to the Lord that you can do nothing without Him. Pray that His grace would make up for your inadequacies, today and every day.
- Ask the Lord to help you humble yourself under His mighty hand so that He can give you more and more grace.
- Pray that His grace would be sufficient for you today, and that His strength would be made perfect in your weakness.
- Ask humbly for His power to rest upon you today, for you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you.
God’s grace will help you get through the best of times and the worst of times.
May His tangible grace continually manifest in your life today, filling your heart with His love, peace, and transformative power.
Day 8
Scriptures: Isaiah 32:18, Philippians 4:6-7, Mark 11:23-24
A Peaceful Home for You
Do you want the peace of the Lord to fill your home? If so, after reading Isaiah 32:18, pray as follows:
- Thank our Father that it IS His will for you to dwell in peace.
- Thank Him for the peace that only He gives—the peace that passes understanding.
- Ask Him to help you be anxious for nothing; but in everything, with prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, to make your requests known unto Him. And His peace, which passes all understanding, will guard your heart in Christ Jesus.
- Ask the Lord to help you not only enter into His peace, but also to stay (to dwell or remain) in that peace all the time.
- Ask Father God to show you how to make your current living space peaceful, beautiful, serene, secure, calm, and quiet, even while you wait for your upgraded or dream home.
- Ask Him to show you how to eliminate noise and chaos from your home; to give you wisdom to do so for both you and your family.
- Ask Him to help you actually do everything He shows you to do in your home!
- If your current living space is less than adequate, ask the Lord to show you the kind of house/home He desires for you to have in the future.
- Ask Him to provide you with that home that He has for you. As you pray, believe and say that you have that home for which you’re asking! (See Mark 11:23-24). Thank Him for that home!
- THANK HIM that His will for you is a paid-for, peaceful, secure, safe, quiet, serene resting place of a home that ministers to you. Tell Him you receive it in Jesus’ name.
As you pray, let the Lord give you the desire and motivation to make your home a peaceful place.
Then, act on the promptings of His Holy Spirit in this area. It may take hard work, but you will reap the benefits when you create and maintain an environment where the peace of God abides.
Day 9
Scripture: Psalms 127:1-2
Ask the Lord to Build Your Life
Do you feel discouraged about your current lack of progress toward your dreams? Do you want the Lord to manifest the blessed life and plans that He has for you?
If so, read Psalm 127:1-2 today. Then, pray this:
- Thank the Lord that He is the Author, Finisher, and Chief Cornerstone of your faith.
- Confess your need for help to the Lord.
- Tell Him how much you need HIM to “build your house” for you (the “house” of your job, your family, your ministry, your calling, and so on).
- Talk to Him about how the vision He has given you is much too large for you to accomplish on your own, without His miraculous intervention. Tell Him that you trust Him to intervene on your behalf.
- Confess to the Lord that you know He is calling you to rest right now, so if any house-building is going to get done, it’s going to have to be HIM doing the building.
- Ask Him to help you do whatever He wants you to do each day, but remain in a continuous state of rest every single day—even while you go about your day.
- Ask the Lord specifically to build your “house,” your dreams, and your life while you rest.
Friend, don’t labor in vain by yourself. Let the Lord guide you and direct you, building your house while you rest in Him.
This doesn’t mean we can sit back and do nothing all day long, but it does mean we rest in Him while He shows us what to do every day. Then, after He shows us what to do, we do what He says—and only that.
As you pray through Psalm 127:1-2 today, remember that the Lord is always working on your behalf. His Word says that He works all things together for our good. Therefore, even when your situation seems tough beyond measure, you can lean on Him. He is always building your house.
Day 10
Scriptures: 1 Corinthians 4:6-10, 2 Peter 1:19, Galatians 2:20
Light In the Darkness
Do things feel dark around you? Do you need the Light of the world, Jesus Christ, to dispel the darkness and shine His hope into your heart?
If so, after reading today’s Bible verses, pray this:
- Pray that Father God would command light to shine out of His very self into your body, soul, and spirit.
- Ask Him to shine His light into your heart today, giving you the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
- Pray that His power would manifest itself excellently in you through Christ.
- Thank Him that, since you are hidden in Christ, you are MORE than a conqueror through Him.
- Thank Him that you will not be crushed, will not despair, and will not be destroyed.
- Thank Him that He will never leave you or forsake you.
- Thank Him that you are dead to yourself and alive in Jesus.
- Confess out loud to God that the life you now live, you live by faith in the Son of God who loves you and gave Himself for you.
- Ask that the life and life of Jesus would be manifested in your body, soul, and spirit today by His Holy Spirit.
Friend, God has called you to be a light in this world, shining His love to everyone around you.
But, in order to do that, you have to take the time to let God heal and comfort your heart every day. When you fix your eyes on Him, the cares of this world will dim; the darkness will flee; and the glorious light of His presence will fill your soul.
