Day 1

Scriptures: Matthew 6:25-26, Philippians 4:6-7, Proverbs 21:5

Hey Friend,

I don’t have to tell you that we live in times of financial uncertainty.

And in times like these, it’s natural to feel anxious.

Our minds race with “what-ifs” and worst-case scenarios.

And if this is what you are experiencing now, I want to encourage you in the word and remind you of some things the Bible calls us to do with our finances, even in the midst of uncertainty.

Jesus speaks directly to our worries in Matthew 6:25-26, saying, “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?”

I love this imagery.

In some of my most desperate moments of needing God’s provision, I have found myself watching the birds out my back window as God reminded me of this verse.

And then Philippians 4:6-7 encourages us, “Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

So now, let’s take a moment to list our specific financial worries.

Then, turn each one into a prayer, asking God for wisdom, provision, and peace.

But remember, regardless of what it looks like on paper, God’s peace doesn’t depend on our bank balances. It’s available to us right now, in the midst of our uncertainty.

Let’s trust in His care, seek His wisdom, and take faithful steps forward.

Day 2

Scriptures: Proverbs 3:9-10, Proverbs 11:24, Malachi 3:10, 2 Corinthians 9:8

Hey Friend,

Today we’re going to be discussing something that is absolute foolishness to the world.

But remember, in God’s economy, everything works different.

And often, it is the exact opposite of the world.

So when the world faces financial uncertainty, they hoard.

So when money is tight, our natural instinct might be to hold on tighter to what we have.

But in God’s Kingdom, we are encouraged to scatter:

Proverbs 11:24 NKJV puts it like this:

“There is one who scatters, yet increases more; And there is one who withholds more than is right, But it leads to poverty.”

This principle of giving first to God, even in times of scarcity, is echoed in Malachi 3:10:

“‘Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,’ says the Lord Almighty, ‘and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.’”

When we give, especially when it doesn’t make sense, it realigns our hearts and reminds us that everything we have comes from God.

And when we give, we declare our trust in His provision.

As you navigate financial uncertainty in your life, hold onto the promise in 2 Corinthians 9:8: “And God is able to bless you abundantly, so that in all things at all times, having all that you need, you will abound in every good work.”

So today, let’s prayerfully consider how we can honor God with our resources, even if we are in challenging times.

Can we set aside a small amount to give? Can we volunteer our skills to help someone else? Anything else come to mind?

Remember, generosity isn’t about the size of the gift, but the size of our faith.

God’s got you friend!!

Day 3

Scriptures: Matthew 6:8, Proverbs 22:7, Philippians 4:19

Hey Friend,

Today I want to take you through a personal conviction that I got in my own time of financial uncertainty a few years back.

Simply put, in my past, at times when finances were tight I would first run to my credit card as my provider.

I would say that I trusted God as my provider, but in reality, my trust was in the available balance on my credit card.

So, if that is a word for you, let me encourage you with the same gentle nudge I got from the Holy Spirit that God is so much better of a provider than Visa and Mastercard.

How many times does God want to do a miracle in our financial lives, and we rob Him of that opportunity by turning to our credit cards instead?

How often do we miss out on God’s provision because we’re too quick to rely on our own solutions?

When we turn to credit cards or other temporary fixes, we might be short-circuiting the process of faith and trust that God wants to develop in us. Remember, our Heavenly Father knows our needs even before we ask (Matthew 6:8).

So today, let’s challenge ourselves to pause and pray before reaching for that credit card.

God may have a different plan – one that strengthens our faith and demonstrates His faithfulness in ways we couldn’t imagine.

He might open unexpected doors, provide resources we didn’t know existed, or simply give us the wisdom to manage what we have more effectively.

As we reflect on this, let’s pray:

Heavenly Father, in these uncertain times, we come to You, acknowledging that You are our ultimate provider and source of security. Help us to trust in Your provision, even when our circumstances feel unstable. Give us wisdom to manage the resources You’ve entrusted to us, courage to be generous even when it’s difficult, and contentment with what we have. Guide our financial decisions, Lord, and help us to honor You in how we earn, spend, save, and give. May our faith in You grow stronger than our fears about the future. We thank You for Your faithfulness and ask for Your peace that surpasses all understanding to guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus. Amen.
