During a vigil in Boise, Idaho held to mourn Charlie Kirk, a chaotic confrontation erupted after a man riding a scooter reportedly yelled out “F— Charlie Kirk.” The incident occurred in front of the Idaho State Capitol on the evening of September 10.
At first, the gathering—organised to remember Kirk, who was fatally shot in Utah—was peaceful, with people lighting candles and chanting “USA.” But once the man’s insult was issued, those around him quickly surrounded him. A physical altercation broke out: he was knocked to the ground and attacked by several people, then got up and exchanged punches with members of the crowd.
Police eventually intervened and pulled him away, though the man then crossed the street and continued shouting and swearing at attendees, demanding “What happened to free speech?” There are reports identifying the man on the scooter as Terry Wilson, associated with the local Black Lives Matter chapter.
