Federal authorities in the U.S. have announced the arrest of 23-year-old Mexican national Eduardo Aguilar, who was living in Dallas without legal immigration status. According to a filing by the United States Department of Justice and the Department of Homeland Security (DHS), Aguilar posted a message on TikTok on October 9 2025 in Spanish, soliciting violent acts against agents of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE). His post reportedly called for “10 dudes in Dallas with determination who aren’t afraid to [skull emojis],” offering “10K for each ICE agent.”

During his arrest on October 14, Aguilar was found in possession of a loaded 9 mm handgun in his vehicle, which federal authorities note is a felony offense for someone in the U.S. without proper immigration status.

Records show Aguilar had entered the U.S. in 2018 as an unaccompanied minor. In February 2019, an immigration judge issued a final order of removal against him. His background in the U.S. also includes charges for liquor-law violations.

Aguilar has been charged with transmitting a threat through interstate or foreign commerce, based on the TikTok post. If convicted, he could face up to five years in federal prison. While in custody, authorities emphasized their commitment to vigorously prosecuting threats against law-enforcement personnel.

U.S. officials said the case was the outcome of cooperative work by multiple agencies including the FBI in Dallas, the Dallas Police Department, Texas Department of Public Safety, U.S. Marshals Service, ATF’s Dallas Field Division, ICE, Garland Police and others.
