A former teacher from Oak Hill Christian School in Fairfax County has been arrested for allegedly attempting to arrange sexual activities with someone he believed to be a minor. The man, identified as David Sabin, 38, from Ashburn, was taken into custody at his home on August 11, following an undercover online sting operation.

Police revealed that Sabin initiated inappropriate conversations with a detective posing as a 14-year-old and even planned to travel to Fairfax County to meet the purported child. Further investigation connected him to a similar incident in October 2024, where he allegedly engaged in inappropriate communication with another undercover officer posing as a minor.

Sabin, who had previously worked at the private Christian school, has since been dismissed. His arrest includes a range of charges: four counts of solicitation of a minor, two counts related to the production of child sexual abuse material, attempted aggravated sexual battery, attempted object sexual penetration, attempted sodomy, and attempted indecent liberties. Sabin remains held without bond at the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center.

Authorities have urged anyone who may have had inappropriate contact with Sabin or their children to reach out to the police department’s Major Crimes Bureau. Anonymous tips can also be submitted.
