Authorities have arrested a 51-year-old man in connection with an attack on Alina Habba, the U.S. Attorney for the District of New Jersey and a well-known supporter of former President Donald Trump. The suspect, identified as Keith Michael Lisa, was taken into custody following the incident, which involved property damage at Habba’s office.

Attorney General Pam Bondi announced the arrest on X, emphasizing that threats or attacks against U.S. Attorneys and the destruction of federal offices will not be tolerated. “No one will get away with threatening or intimidating our great US Attorneys or the destruction of their offices,” Bondi wrote. Habba also posted on X, confirming Lisa’s arrest and stating, “Now justice will handle him.”

The incident occurred earlier in the week when Lisa allegedly attempted to confront Habba and caused significant damage inside her office before fleeing. Habba was unharmed in the attack. Reports indicate that the assailant was armed with a baseball bat, which he used to smash office property before discarding it and escaping the scene.

Authorities treated the situation with urgency, launching a broad manhunt to apprehend the suspect and offering a $25,000 reward for information leading to his capture. Bondi described Lisa as “dangerous” and physically imposing, standing 6’3″ and weighing over 200 pounds. She also noted that the attack reflects a worrying trend of radical assaults on federal law enforcement officers across the country.

A federal arrest warrant was issued for Lisa on November 13, 2025, in the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in Newark. He faces charges of Possession of a Dangerous Weapon in a Federal Facility and Depredation of Federal Property. Local reports indicate that Lisa is from Mahwah, New Jersey, and was registered to vote in Bergen County in 2017.

Habba, speaking about the incident before the suspect’s arrest, said she would not be intimidated by “radical lunatics” while performing her duties. Following Lisa’s capture, she echoed Bondi’s concerns, highlighting that the attack is part of a broader pattern of violent incidents targeting federal officials, including armed ambushes against ICE officers.
