Gracious Father, Please give me the grace to guard myself with your word. Let me find strength in your word to withhold temptations. I seek that you nourish my faith to overcome all temptations victoriously. Lord Jesus, you created an escape route for Job. Despite his pains, trials, and tribulations, you blessed his latter end than the beginning. Lord, I seek an escape route when the devil tempts me. Even in my deep lust and intense desires, give me a path back to your ways. The scriptures say, “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.” Therefore, I hope in your faithfulness to save me from myself. Guide me in all phases of temptations that I will face in life. I seek your grace to escape my sinful desires. Thank you gracious Father for answering prayers. Amen.
“Great Father in heaven. You are the Almighty and only true God. You said in your word, “Lead us not into temptation but deliver us from the evil one.” Therefore, I seek insight into your word. Open my heart to understand when the devil is tempting me. Just like in time past, when your servants, Abraham and Job, were tempted, I seek your grace. Give me the understanding to always do what is right. In my fears and weaknesses, strengthen my mind and remind me of my obligations to you. I know my fears and lust are my major source of temptation. The scripture says, “Each person is tempted when they are dragged away by their own evil desire and enticed.” Therefore, I subject my mind and soul under control. I am no longer moved because I trust in you to strengthen me. Lord, Give me the grace to pass every test I encounter. Open my heart to contentment and faithfulness in your word. “Holy and Gracious God of Miracles, Your Word tells me that I am to flee sexual temptation. It also says that while other sins are outside my body, this is a sin also against my own body. Give me the resolve to say remove myself from any tempting situation. Lord, even if I fall, I praise You that I am under grace and that You have paid for my sin on the cross. Fix my eyes on Your anointed One who has taken my sin and shame and nailed it to the cross. Amen.”

Your Scripture says that we do not have a High Priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are — yet He did not sin. Fashion me in Your image. Give me Your wisdom and strength to avoid sinning. Show me when and how to flee from situations where I am tempted. “Father God, You freely give wisdom to those who come to You. When faced with temptation, I am often confused and foolish, and through my immaturity, I make the situation worse. Give me the wisdom to avoid compromising situations. You tell me to watch and pray so that I will not fall into temptation. I need You to open my eyes so I both watch and then actually see what may be hidden. Give me clarity of thought so I recognize sinful dangers in time to escape them.
