Day 1

Scripture: John 10:27

Sally Says:

Hello! I’m so pleased to meet you.

My name is Sally and I am following the Good Shepherd to a lovely meadow nearby. He calls my name every morning. It makes me feel so special.

Mama said I should stay close to her. We have to follow our Shepherd. But it is such a beautiful day and there are so many things to explore. Wait, what is that sound I’m hearing?

Bzzz, bzzz, bzzz.

Do you know what it is? Should I go and see?

The Good Shepherd Knows Your Name

📖 Bible Verse: John 10:27 – “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.”

🔹 Devotion:Sally loved listening to different sounds, but the best sound of all was the Shepherd’s voice. Just like Sally, we sometimes get distracted, but Jesus, our Good Shepherd, always calls us back. He knows your name and loves you!

❓ Reflection Question:How do you feel knowing that Jesus knows your name?

🙏 Prayer:Dear Jesus, thank You for being my Good Shepherd. Help me to listen to Your voice and follow You every day. Amen.

Day 2

Scripture: Isaiah 30:21

Sally Says:

Bzzz, bzzz, bzzz.

I followed the sound and found a busy bumblebee. What a friendly little guy. He was collecting nectar from a pretty flower. I couldn’t stay long, because I heard another sound.

Tweet, tweet, tweet.

It lead me to a sweet little sparrow up in a tree, she was singing cheerfully with her Mama.

I heard many interesting sounds that lead me to wonderful creatures. A click-click-click lead me to a happy grasshopper and a ribbit-ribbit came from a very talented frog.

Hmmm… I wonder what other sounds I can hear? I wonder what other creatures I will meet?

Listening to the Right Voice

📖 Bible Verse: Isaiah 30:21 – “Your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, ‘This is the way; walk in it.’”

🔹 Devotion:Sally got distracted by so many sounds. Sometimes, we can also get distracted when we listen to lots of different things. But God’s voice always leads us the right way. When we read the Bible, pray, and listen to wise people, we hear His voice guiding us.

❓ Reflection Question:What are some ways you can hear God’s voice in your life?

🙏 Prayer:God, help me to listen to Your voice above all others. Show me the right path to follow. Amen.

Day 3

Scripture: Luke 15:4

Sally Says:

It’s been such a wonderful day. I heard so many interesting sounds and met wonderful creatures. But the sun is setting and I can’t find my tribe. Oh no, I should have listened to Mama!

Hoo-hoo, hoo-hoo

That is an interesting sound, but it doesn’t sound as friendly as the other sounds I heard today.

Rustle-rustle, hissss

Oh dear, I’m starting to feel a little scared.

AWOooo

I don’t like that sound at all. I think I’m just going to lie down behind a big rock and hide.

When We Feel Lost

📖 Bible Verse: Luke 15:4 – “Suppose one of you has a hundred sheep and loses one. Doesn’t he leave the ninety-nine in the open country and go after the lost sheep until he finds it?”

🔹 Devotion:Sally got lost because she wasn’t paying attention. Have you ever felt lost or scared? Jesus is like the Shepherd who goes looking for His lost sheep. No matter where you are, He will always come to find you because He loves you so much!

❓ Reflection Question:Have you ever felt lost or alone? How does it make you feel knowing Jesus will always come to find you?

🙏 Prayer:Jesus, thank You for always finding me when I feel lost. Help me to stay close to You. Amen.

Day 4

Scripture: Psalms 23:1

Sally Says:

I should have listened to Mama. Now I am out here all alone and I don’t know how to find my way home.

“Sally, sweet Sally!”

Wait a minute. I know that voice!

“Sally, are you there?”

I can recognise that voice anywhere! It is the Good Shepherd. He found me.

“There you are! Let me lift you on my shoulders and take you back to the flock.”

Aah, I’m safe. The Good Shepherd will take me back home to Mama. I can’t wait to see all my friends and tell them all about my adventures.

The Good Shepherd is so kind. He always notices when I go astray. He never gets angry with me and He is always happy to find me. I just hope Mama will be as understanding as He is. I’m just so glad I’m not alone anymore.

Safe in the Shepherd’s Arms

📖 Bible Verse: Psalm 23:1 – “The Lord is my Shepherd, I lack nothing.”

🔹 Devotion:When Sally heard the Shepherd’s voice, she felt safe and happy again. Jesus promises to take care of us just like a shepherd takes care of his sheep. We don’t have to be afraid because He is always watching over us!

❓ Reflection Question:What are some things that make you feel safe? How can remembering Jesus as your Shepherd help you feel safe?

🙏 Prayer:Lord, thank You for taking care of me. Help me to trust You when I feel afraid. Amen.

Day5

Scripture: Psalms 95:7

Sally Says:

What a beautiful day it was in the meadow, but I am sure glad to be home with my flock. I will try my best to listen carefully to Mama and not get distracted again. It’s good to know that if ever I get lost again, the Good Shepherd will find me.

Everyone was so happy to see me. I told them all about the different sounds I heard and the amazing creatures I met. They thought I was very brave.

“What was your favourite sound, Sally?” one of my friends asked.

That’s easy! The voice of the Good Shepherd, saying I was found!

Whenever you feel lonely, lost, or scared, just quiet your heart and listen. You will hear Him call your name too. He will always find you. He will be so happy to help you.

He really is a GOOD Shepherd.

The Best Sound of All

📖 Bible Verse: Psalm 95:7 – “For He is our God, and we are the people of His pasture, the flock under His care.”

🔹 Devotion:Sally heard many sounds, but her favorite was the voice of the Shepherd. The best sound we can ever hear is Jesus speaking to our hearts! When we spend time with Him, we learn to hear His voice more clearly.

❓ Reflection Question:What is one way you can spend more time listening to Jesus this week?

🙏 Prayer:Jesus, Your voice is the best sound of all. Help me to listen, follow You, and tell others about Your love. Amen.
