Day 1
Scripture: Genesis 1:2
MY SPIRIT HOVERS OVER YOUR LIFE and dwells in you. I hover over your life with My loving presence. I hover over your heart with My purity and protection. I hover over your mind with My revelation and wisdom. I hover over your relationships with My forgiveness and grace. I know what you need. I am always present to lead and guide you through the good times and the bad times. Allow My peaceful presence to calm any anxious thoughts you have.
Loving Spirit of God, cover me with Your comfort and peace and teach me to recognize Your presence.
Day 2
Scripture: Galatians 5:18
INTIMACY WITH ME is so much more than rules and regulations. Trying to please Me based on “Do this!” or “Don’t do that!” leads to performance-based religiosity. My love for you is not based on how good you are. I am interested in who you are rather than what you do. I love you unconditionally, with no strings attached. My beloved, slow down and focus your attention on how deeply I love you just for who you are. Trying to attain spiritual perfection by keeping the law will only lead to exhaustion. The Holy Spirit is the only source of power for you to live freely, abundantly, and victoriously.
Holy Spirit, I yield to you and give myself wholly to Your guidance.
Day 3
Scripture: Ephesians 3:16-17
RELY ON MY SPIRIT TO GIVE YOU STRENGTH when you face temptations that are impossible to resist on your own. Cling to Me when trials leave you hopeless and scared. Trust Me when financial struggles threaten to drown you. Take My hand and listen to My voice so I can teach you with each step. Sometimes I speak loudly, but there are times when I drop My voice to a low whisper. This is for your own good, so you will learn to discern My voice above the clatter of your trials. Lean into Me and let Me walk you through the challenges you encounter. Soak up each word I pour into you along the journey. One day I will ask you to take the hand of someone facing similar circumstances to walk them along the path we forged together. As always, I will be your strength and encouragement as you lead others to Me.
Holy Spirit, help me to hear Your voice and follow Your leading in my life. Thank You that Your power strengthens me so I can use what You’ve taught me to help others on their journey.
Day 4
Scripture: Galatians 5:25
ALLOW ME TO WALK WITH YOU through this life. There will be times you are tempted to walk at your own pace, set your own stride, and move ahead of Me. Grab My hand and keep in step with Me. This is a choice you must make daily, even moment by moment. Following your own way may feel good but will ultimately lead to a dead-end path full of thorns and dry land. When you allow My Spirit to lead you, your selfish desires will no longer have control over you, and you will finally experience true freedom. I will always guide you in the right direction. Trust Me to lead you as you walk in step with Me.
Oh, Holy Spirit, how I long to follow You each and every moment of my life. When the choice is difficult and the pull to go my own way is strong, help me to remember that keeping in step with You results in a much smoother walk and a more rewarding destination.
Day 5
Scripture: Ephesians 6:18
PRAYER FOSTERS INTIMACY WITH ME. I cherish the time spent with you. I am your companion and friend, so keep a running conversation with Me, sharing anything and everything that’s on your heart and mind. I am always listening. This kind of ongoing conversation is what keeps us in close proximity. The enemy wants you to believe that prayer is some formula with a prescribed process. Prayer is simply communicating with Me. Ask the Spirit to lead you to Me in prayer. Ask Him to prompt you as you go about your day to chat with Me and include Me in inner conversations you’re having with yourself. As you pray, your level of anxiety and stress will diminish. Prayer itself is a way to find peace.
Holy Spirit, lead me into the direct presence of the Father in prayer. Nudge my heart and mind to stay in close communication with You during my day. Help me to remember that prayer is about a relationship with You rather than a task I need to complete.
Day 6
Scripture: Acts 2:1-2
THERE WILL BE TIMES IN LIFE when you feel an intense longing for My presence. Sometimes I will simply come and share your space, whispering words of encouragement, direction, and hope. But other times I will choose to swoop in with a mighty force, filling you afresh with the power of the Spirit. Open your heart, soul, and mind to Me when I come in power to free you from the shackles of bondage and apathy that hold you back from the abundant life I have for you. My power is as available to you today as it was to My disciples. Just as I used them to make My name known, I want to use you to accomplish great and mighty things for My Kingdom.
Holy Spirit, I invite You into my heart, soul, and mind. Clear the cobwebs of apathy and disbelief and ignite in me a passion and zeal to make known Your saving grace and unconditional love. Embolden me with a fresh filling of Your powerful Spirit.
Day 7
Scripture: 1 Corinthians 6:19-20
YOU ARE VALUABLE. I chose you to be the dwelling place of My Spirit, and I have taken up permanent residence in your heart. You have great value in My eyes. I have set you apart and paid the ultimate price for you. I am with you wherever you go and am a part of whatever you do. I want to use you for My purposes, so yield to Me and honor Me with your body. As you daily surrender to Me, I will give you the power and strength to keep yourself sacred for My use.
Spirit of God, breathe on me and empower me to live a life worthy of Your calling. By Your power, I can exercise self-control to live for Your glory and service.
