Day 1
Scriptures: Ephesians 6:12, Ephesians 6:10, 1 Samuel 17:28-30, Psalms 46:1
In our walk with God, there are times when we find ourselves in intense spiritual battles, facing unexpected challenges and attacks. During these times, we need strategies to stand strong and be victorious. The first two essential strategies that can help any believer remain strong on the day of battle are to understand where our strength comes from and how to guard our anointing.
The first strategy is simple: be strong in the Lord. This is not an option in spiritual warfare. Ephesians 6:10 commands us to find our strength in God, not in ourselves. Being strong is a mindset—it’s the ability to face danger and difficulties with firmness and courage. When you rely on God’s strength, you are positioned to withstand any attack. Always remember that as believers, we fight from a position of victory, not weakness.
The second strategy is just as essential: don’t waste your anointing. Ephesians 6:12 says, “We do not wrestle against flesh and blood.” Many of us often waste energy fighting battles with people—whether in arguments with loved ones or disputes with strangers. But we’re not called to wrestle with flesh and blood. If you constantly battle people, you’ll drain your anointing and have nothing left for the real enemy. David understood this when he walked away from arguments with his brothers to face Goliath (1 Samuel 17:28-30). He didn’t waste his anointing on unnecessary battles, and neither should we.
Protect your anointing by choosing your battles wisely.
Let’s pray:
Lord, please strengthen me for the battles I face. Help me to rely on Your power and protect my focus by helping me to turn away from unnecessary conflicts. Amen.
Day 2
Scriptures: Ephesians 6:13-14, 2 Thessalonians 3:3
It’s important to know that God doesn’t always promise an escape from battles; instead, He equips us to stand firm through them.
We have been given the armor of God because it prepares us to face challenges head-on, empowering us to remain steadfast when difficulties arise. This armor isn’t a shield from conflict but a means to endure and emerge victorious.
The armor helps us stand, not avoid the battle (Ephesians 6:13). It’s designed to enable us to hold our ground, allowing us to finish strong, even when the battle is intense. Success in spiritual warfare isn’t about avoiding conflict but staying resilient and standing firm until the end.
Additionally, we must realize that we’re called to put on the armor, not produce it.Every piece of armor—truth, righteousness, peace, faith, salvation, and the Word of God—comes from Him. We don’t manufacture it; we simply take it up and put it on through prayer and faith. It’s not something that is produced by our efforts. By leaning into what God has already provided for us, we can find the strength and protection needed for every battle.
Let’s pray:
Lord, thank You for providing the armor I need to face every battle. Help me to stand firm, knowing that You have equipped me with everything necessary to remain strong. Remind me to rely on Your armor and not on my own strength. Amen.
Day 3
Scriptures: Isaiah 41:10, Romans 8:37, Isaiah 54:17
Another key strategy to understand is that God equips us with armor designed to protect us as we advance. God calls us as His children to move forward with courage, trusting in His power to shield and strengthen us. He constantly encourages us not to turn back and leave ourselves exposed to the enemy.
Remember, there’s no armor for your back. Ephesians 6 describes armor for our front—the breastplate of righteousness and the shield of faith—but nothing for the back. God’s protection is intended for those who stand firm, facing the challenges head-on. Retreating leaves us vulnerable, so we’re called to advance confidently, trusting in His protection as we press on.
In Ephesians 6:18, we are told to “pray always with all kinds of prayers and requests.” It’s through prayer that our armor becomes fully effective and keeps us equipped for the battle. Prayer is more than an addition to the armor—it binds everything together, keeping us protected, prepared, and strengthened for every fight.
Understanding these strategies will allow you to stand strong, resilient, and victorious in the face of any spiritual challenge. May the Lord strengthen you through this season.
Let’s pray:
Lord, help me to stand firm and never retreat, knowing that You go before me. Teach me to activate my armor through constant prayer, relying on Your presence and strength in every battle. Amen.
