Day 1

Scriptures: James 5:16, Hebrews 10

Day 1 – Welcome In

Devotional: That’s what friends are made for!

Everyone needs someone. Community has been such an important concept since the very beginning of time. Different tribes, villages, and colonies have shown us how much power and potential there is in being in a group. Life is such a rollercoaster; through all of the twists and turns, there’s one thing that has always pierced through: the power of friendship. The thing that takes friendships to the next level is vulnerability. Being vulnerable to a person or people isn’t always easy. It takes a lot of courage to open up and share your struggles, opinions, or thoughts — especially when you’re unsure whether they’ll relate to or understand your perspective. But the beauty is, when you let your guard down, you permit others to do the same. James 5:16 is a perfect example of what we’re supposed to do with the people around us. When we drop the act of “everything in my life is perfect” and let our guards down, we create a safe space for ourselves and our friends where healing and support can flourish. Jesus didn’t shy away from vulnerability; He let us all in with open arms to His goodness and love, but also to His wisdom and His story. In John 15:12-13, we are shown how much He loves us. He was so vulnerable with us that He laid His life down for His friends. He calls us to love each other just as He loves us. If Jesus can open up and welcome us in, what prevents us from opening up to the people around us? Of course, you have different levels of vulnerability with friends because everyone doesn’t deserve to know the ins and outs of you as a person. But you should have at least one person who knows you fully and completely, who can pray for you and hold you accountable. Hebrews 10:24-25 is the ultimate invitation to hang out with your close circle. This verse encourages us to come together, not just for the celebrations and parties but also to support each other through every season of life. Vulnerability shouldn’t just be the buzzword in your group, it should be the glue that holds you together.

Personal Reflection:

  1. Who is your safe person/people?
  2. How does the example of Christ affect the way you love others?
  3. What is your biggest roadblock when opening up to others?

Prayer: Dear Lord, may my heart be a place where others can feel welcomed and loved through the presence of Your Holy Spirit. Allow me to open up to the people you have placed around me. Help me to boldly tell my testimony of your faith, love, and compassion to others. Please help me to steward the relationships you’ve given me daily. Continue to bring genuine people into my life and bless every friendship I have. In the majestic name of Jesus, I pray, Amen!

Day 2

Scriptures: Romans 8:31, Romans 8:37-39, 1 John 4:4

Day 2 – Who could be against you?

Devotional: Know your worth!

Romans 8:31 isn’t just a sweet saying, it’s a big truth. Our value should never be based on what others think of us or our accomplishments. It’s rooted in the steadfast love of God. He is always with us fighting our battles, knowing us deeply, and loving us through thick and thin. In a world that often scales your worth with grades, likes, followers, or material possessions, this song breaks down every insecurity that could’ve been floating around in your mind by pulling from scripture. Through our challenges, Romans 8:37-39 reminds us of our identity as conquerors. Because of Christ within us, we are victorious just like He is! When you read this scripture over yourself, your mind has no choice but to shatter the chains of self-doubt and to walk in freedom, ready to face these challenges head-on. We are given strength and courage to overcome dark thoughts within our minds and 1 John 4:4 is a great reminder. It tells us that the power of God within us is stronger than anything in the world. Take a deep breath and breathe in the truth you read. You are loved. You are valued. You are enough, just as you are! And, as you fall in love with your unique self, walk in confidence knowing that the God of the universe is right there with you, cheering you on every step of the way!

Personal Reflection:

  1. What are 4 positive words to describe yourself?
  2. Who/what do you turn to when you face difficult times?
  3. How do you rely on Jesus’ power instead of depending on your own?

Prayer: Gracious Father, help me to see myself through your eyes. When I have dark thoughts, give me a sound mind to remind me of your unconditional love. Lord, help me see a new perspective of life and allow me to always feel your presence, even in my brokenness. Teach me to be a warrior, not a worrier. Because you have already won the victory I can walk confidently with every step I take. My trust is in You alone. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.

Day 3

Scriptures: Deuteronomy 31:8, Isaiah 41:10, Isaiah 43:2

Day 3 – Never alone.

Devotional: You weren’t made to be alone.

Through the ups and downs, or the ebb and flow of life, it’s common to feel isolated at times. As we have these moments, remember this timeless truth: we are not made to be alone. God designed us for connection, not only with the people He intentionally put around us but with Himself. When feelings of loneliness begin to overwhelm us or fester in our minds, cling to the promises of Scripture. In Deuteronomy 31:8, God promises to never leave us or forsake us. He doesn’t say, “maybe” or “depending on the circumstance.” God PROMISES to never leave us. This is a comforting reminder that even in our loneliest moments, God’s presence surrounds us offering comfort, companionship, and unconditional support. When we feel lonely, it’s so easy to withdraw or keep to ourselves out of fear that no one will understand or that once you confide in someone, they’ll leave you. But Isaiah 41:10 tells us not to be afraid because God is with us through every trial and hardship. We can take comfort in knowing that even if someone leaves our side, God will always be beside us. Like a loving parent watches over their child, God protects us and keeps us safe. Isaiah 43:2 is another scripture where God promises to be with us through the storms of life. God is always with us, ensuring that we will not be consumed by our circumstances. It doesn’t say that God prevents those circumstances, it says He makes sure that we aren’t consumed by them. Meaning, you’re going to go through trials and moments of feeling lonely or isolated and when you do, He’ll be right there with you and will use the people around you to help you in those feelings. So, when you’re lonely or isolated, reach out to someone you trust. Whether it’s a friend, family member, or mentor, having someone to talk to always helps. And remember, God is always there for you, ready to listen and provide comfort.

Personal Reflection:

  1. In what ways has God proven Himself to be near in your life?
  2. Why does isolation feel “safer” than companionship at times?
  3. What promises of God do you cling to daily?

Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to open my spirit, heart, and soul to your nearness each day and in every moment. Thank you for walking alongside me no matter what I face. Allow me to see you in not only the big things but the small things around me. Continue to protect me with your presence of comfort and love. It is a gift that The God of the Universe knows me by name and hears my prayers. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen!

Day 4

Scriptures: Psalms 23, Matthew 6:34

Day 4 – Psalm 23

Devotional: Lay in the green pastures.

We often find ourselves deep in worry about our future, career paths, relationships, finances, and many other things. Matthew 6:34 reminds us that instead of fixating on tomorrow’s uncertainties, Jesus urges us to focus on the present moment; to find peace in the “right now” of life. By surrendering our anxieties and appreciating the gift of today, we open ourselves to the peace that surpasses all understanding, the peace that we’re all promised through Jesus. Embracing peace requires a shift in perspective — a conscious decision to let go of worry and trust God with our lives. Let go of your need for control and embrace the joy and freedom in giving your fears to the One who holds the universe. Picture yourself lying down in lush green grass, feeling the breeze against your skin, and hearing the sweet sounds of nature. That is exactly what we read about in Psalm 23. Allow yourself to release the stress that weighs you down. Resting in the peace of God is not a sign of weakness but strength. It’s a declaration of faith — having assurance that no matter what storms may come, you are secure in the loving arms of your Father. Find rest in your soul by fixing your eyes on Him and trusting His promises. So today, I encourage you to lay aside your fears and enter into the restful presence of God. Allow His peace to wash over you — calming your restless heart and renewing your spirit. In His presence is the only place you’ll find true rest.

Personal Reflection:

  1. What have you been worrying about that you need to take to God?
  2. Describe one thing that made you happy today.
  3. How do you apply the peace of God in your everyday life?

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Your perfect peace that surpasses all understanding. Allow me to rest in Your presence and be guided by the Good Shepherd that You are. Continue to fill my cup when it is empty and let it overflow with Your blessings. When life’s pressures, frustrations, and the cares of the world cloud my mind, let me be reminded of Your unending love and provision. I lay every burden at Your feet knowing You will give me the comfort I need. I trust You to be my hope, protection, and joy for the rest of my life. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
