Father,

The day is done, and I’m handing it back to You. Thank You for every moment of it, the ones I noticed and the ones I rushed past.

Jesus, You said salvation came to Zacchaeus’s house that very day, and I ask You to look at mine tonight. Where did I hide from You today? Where did I mutter about someone instead of welcoming them? Where did I choose comfort over kindness? I lay those moments before You without excuses. Forgive me, and clear away what I can’t fix myself.

Show me anyone I need to make things right with tomorrow. Give me the humility to say sorry and the courage to actually do it.

Thank You for the good things too: the small kindnesses, the laughter, the help that came when I needed it.

I bring You the people on my heart tonight, especially those who feel unseen or written off. Find them the way You found Zacchaeus. Be near anyone who can’t sleep, anyone grieving, anyone afraid of the morning.

Quiet my mind. Loosen my grip on every worry. Let me rest knowing I’m held.

Wake me tomorrow with a willing heart. In Your name, amen.

(At this moment, you are invited to talk to God about whatever is on your heart).
