April 28

Father, as this day comes to a close, I turn my thoughts back to You. Thank You for carrying me through every moment—both the ones that felt easy and the ones that stretched me. In the quiet of this night, I remember Your goodness, just as Psalm 116 says: “Return to your rest, my soul, for the Lord has been good to you.”

Where I fell short today, I ask for Your mercy. Where I worried or tried to carry things on my own, teach me to trust You more. Thank You that You are gracious, righteous, and full of compassion. Your love has not changed, even when my faith felt small.

As I lay down to sleep, I place every burden into Your hands—every unanswered question, every concern about tomorrow. Guard my heart and mind with Your peace. Give me true rest, not just for my body, but for my soul.

Help me to remember that my life is in Your care, and nothing I face is outside Your sight. Let me wake again with renewed strength and a deeper awareness of Your presence.

I rest in You tonight, secure in Your love.

Amen.
