Mark 16:17 says that believers will be given the power to perform miracles: they will drive out demons in my name; they will speak in strange tongues. Prayer provokes an event that’s not explainable by nature. Miracles are God’s mysteries open to His children. Dive into this plan over the next three days to explore how your prayer room incubates miracles.
Her Dope Marriage
Day 1
Scriptures: Ephesians 3:16, Mark 1:35, Philippians 4:5
Prepare the Room
I love the ability to worship God through prayer. I remember not being as intentional with prayer as I am today. I saw prayer as a routine task with limited power. I didn’t have a sacred space to prepare my heart and mind to experience the fullness of God’s presence. But years ago, I leaned into God and His word and tapped into the importance of creating a separate space that limited the distractions and was inviting to God. Honestly, it made me check the motive of my prayer life.
Mark 1:35 says, “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house, and went off to a solitary place, where He prayed.” God’s word provides instruction for us.
The beauty of God’s love is making room to experience it. When we quiet our hearts and steal away to find rest in Him, He shows Himself to us.
Practical application – How to make room for God.
1. Set aside a room or space.
2. Include a Bible, worship music, inspirational quotes, and a journal.
3. Add a candle, blanket, and sticky notes.
Pray this prayer:
Father, thank you for the opportunity to worship you through my prayers. I will slow down to enter your throne room. Remove any distractions limiting my ability to see you. Open my heart to the Holy Spirit as I set aside time to spend with you. I will no longer be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, my prayers will be made known to you. Strengthen me through your power. In Jesus’ name. Amen
Day 2
Scriptures: Proverbs 4:23, Psalms 51:7-12, Jeremiah 17:9
Posture your Heart
Jeremiah 17:9 says that “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?” As you prepare your “womb” to experience God’s glory, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it. Even as you pray for yourself, the goal is never about you; it’s always to bring glory to God. As you surrender to God, lay down every weight and sin that so easily beset you. Draw closer to God by receiving His forgiveness. Just as David wanted God’s forgiveness in Psalm 51:7 “Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow…Cast me not away from your presence…Uphold me with a willing spirit.” Embrace God’s forgiveness by confessing any sin threatening your connection to the Father.
Practical application:
1. Ask yourself, am I holding on to bitterness or unforgiveness?
2. Have you asked God for forgiveness?
Pray this prayer.
Father God, have mercy on me according to your unfailing love. Cleanse my heart. As I approach your throne, allow the power of your grace to erase any sign of sin from my heart. Give me a clean heart and renew the right spirit in me. Search me, for I want to be made whole, in Jesus’ name. Amen
Day 3
Scriptures: Isaiah 40:31, Matthew 17:20, Mark 16:17
Believe God for the Promise
Have you ever experienced or heard someone talk about labor pains? The analogy I always use to explain the process of waiting on your promise can sometimes resemble labor pains. The contractions of the uterus muscles and the pressure of the cervix cause labor pains. When I think about the promises of God and how sometimes, it feels uncomfortable during the waiting season, the pain and the pressure seem unbearable.
Labor pains indicate that your promise is coming, and your miracle is on the way. The intensity of the pain is a sign that your miracle is almost here. The head is crowning. This is an indication that it’s nearly time to push. The beauty in this is that you are willing to bear the pain because that which you’ve prayed for is almost here. This is how God wants us to look at our promise. He never said that our walk would be easy. God never said the miracle would come when you wanted it to come. He did say that He will never leave you or forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. He wants you to trust Him during the waiting. Isaiah 40:31 reminds us that “those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not get weary; they will walk and not faint.”
God’s word is true. He said to them, “Because of your little faith. For truly, I say to you, if you have faith like a grain of mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, ‘move from here to there,’ and it will move, and nothing will be impossible for you.” Matthew 17:20
Your prayer room is a womb for miracles. The serenity of God’s glory fills the space. Your heart is open to receive the fullness of His power. Your mind is in perfect peace because you know your miracle is coming. Your faith is elevated because it’s impossible to please God without faith. The anointing empowers you to function supernaturally. The sanctification of this space consumes every word spoken in prayer to God and welcomes the supernatural ability to see miracles, signs, and wonders.
Pray this prayer.
Father God, thank you for giving me a love language for you. I trust your will for my promise. I thank you in advance for miracles, signs, and wonders. I sanctify my space as my heart thirsts for you. I give you total control of my heart, thoughts, and will. I am waiting patiently for the promise, in Jesus’ name. Amen
